For Saltwood Skipper Billy Crumbie this is going to be the longest day of his life...

The Following takes place between the hours of 5.00am and 6.00 am on the day of the Saltwood boot fair.

5.04 - Special Agent Oakes arrives at the ground. He makes a point of phoning everyone to let them know that he is the first one there.

5.07 - Special Agent Crumbie receives a message in his ear telling him to head to the ground immediately, and explain that the Boot Fair has been cancelled. The earpiece now explains that his opening bowler, Psycho, may also be at risk. Along with the sign and the availability book, this is too much for Crumbie.

5.13 - Special Agent Oakes attempts to open the Pavilion door, but it won't open. He goes around to the mower shed. The code has been changed!

5.22 - Special Agent Crumbie now arrives at the ground. He is met by Oakes, who pushes Crumbie up against the Pavilion door. As he is pushed, CrumbieÕs ear piece falls to the ground and is crushed. Crumbie loses all contact with "Club X", shouting out desperately ÔDonÕt destroy my Boot Fair sign. If you touch that availability book....

5.27 - Special Agent Oakes wants answers, but Crumbie says he can't say anything as he thinks this conspiracy might go all the way to the top. He explains that "Club X" appear to want the Boot Fair cancelled. They decide to call the head of their organisation, John Howland.

5.33 - Special Agent Cookie now mysteriously arrives. He claims to have fallen asleep on top of a mole hill. He is delighted to discover that a mole has been left on the pavilion steps. How did it get there?

5.37 - Special Agent Cookie reviews the CCTV footage but discovers that it has been put on loop. Who killed the mole? He suspects the moleman, but he is nowhere to be found.

5.47 - John Howland now arrives at the ground. He wants answers. Oakes is reluctant to trust Howland, but tells him that the boot fair is in jeopardy. Special Agent Cookie explains that there has been a successful assassination attempt on the mole.

5.52 - Shaun Howland sleeps.

5.57 - John Howland demands a lockdown at the ground. He calls in Special Agent Andy Lewsey to try and break into the Pavilion. Lewsey says he can be there in ten minutes. Howland tells him he must be there in seven.

5.59 - Now fully recovered, Psycho Steve Ellyatt phones Special Agent Ken Lewsey, and asks him to pick him up from the roundabout on the motorway. Lewsey writes down the address and tells him he is on his way.
