For Saltwood Skipper Billy Crumbie this is going to be the longest day of his life...

The Following Takes place between the Hours of 2.00am and 3.00am on the day of the Saltwood Boot Fair.

 

2.04 - Tom Riley receives a phonecall from a nervous sounding Special Agent Crumbie telling him not to put any more boot fair adverts in the local paper.

 

2.09 - Tom Riley goes back to sleep slightly confused.

 

2.24 - Ian Oakes, concerned by the threatening card, phones the boot fair hotline. He hears a message from Special Agent Crumbie explaining that the Boot fair has been cancelled.

 

2.27 - Special agent Oakes phones Special Agent Crumbie to ask what is going on. Crumbie is aloof and nervous. Oakes suspects Crumbie may be involved in the conspiracy.

 

2.34 - Richard East tells Oakes that the cards have been switched. The new Card has phrases like 'wicked', and 'cool' on it. It also appears to have a treasurer's report on the back. Oakes decides he can no longer trust Crumbie.

 

2.46 - Special Agent Gamlyn stops looking at himself in the mirror and fills up his hot water bottle.

 

2.54 - Oakes phones up Special Agent Cookie, and tells him that they need to meet. Cookie suggest the Pavilion, but Special Agent Oakes, believes there may be security cameras there and so tells him to meet him behind the new sightscreens at dobbers end. Special Agent Cookie agrees.

 

2.59 - Special Agent Cookie arrives behind the Pavilion but there is no sign of Special Agent Oakes. He moves a few branches over to the bonfire and waits...
