For Saltwood Skipper Billy Crumbie this is going to be the longest day of his life...

The Following takes place between the hours of 11.00am and 12.00pm on the day of the Saltwood Boot Fair.

11.04 - Special Agents Oakes and Crumbie arrive at the pub. Cookie spots Oakes and immediately runs for the door. Crumbie blocks him and assures Cookie that Oakes is on his side.

11.06 - Special Agent Rice offers John Howland the list of people that may want to frame Gamlyn. He has got as far as 'B' alphabetically but ran out of paper. Howland recognises that this is a problem. He wants to speak to Gamlyn.

11.11 - Special Agent Crumbie wants to play darts but the massive TV is blocking the board. He sits down with his drink and reviews recent developments? Who has stolen Psycho? Who wants to sabotage the bootfair? Why was Psycho at Cookie's house? Who can we trust?

11.14 - Special Agent Oakes listens intently to Cookie's story. His phone beeps. He looks at it with interest and walks off to the loo.

11.16 - Oakes has returned. Crumbie's phone now beeps. Crumbie reads the message. It is from Special Agent Riley explaining that Helen Oakes has been spotted in Etchinghill. Crumbie immediately looks across at Special Agent Oakes, and casually asks him if he would want another drink. He asks for a soda water, with no ice. Crumbie asks Cookie to help him with this order.

11.18 - Crumbie explains to Cookie that Oakes could be the mole. His wife is involved in the Club X scene, he was the first agent to check out Cookie's house, but why would he want to destroy the boot fair?

11.21 - Oakes becomes suspicious of Crumbie. He is taking too long to deliver his soda water. He heads up to the bar, but Cookie and Crumbie have disappeared.

11.24 - Morgan Oakes goes to get a cup of tea. There is a twelve car pile up on the driveway. Cars, for no apparent reason decide to drive the wrong way inot the ground. One almost goes over the wicket, until Special Agent Simmons throws his body in front of the advancing vehicle and asks it to turn around.

11.26 -Back in Club X, Rice and Riley notice 'Fatherhood' by Bill Cosby for sale on a stall.

11.27 - Riley buys 'Fatherhood' by Bill Cosby for 17p. He quizzes the stall holder. He claims that he found the book on his stall ten minutes ago. It must be the same copy.

11.29 - Crumbie returns to the ground in a panic. He has lost Cookie. He explains the situation to John Howland, stating that Oakes is now a suspect. Morgan Oakes overhears this and immediately gets on the phone.

11.32 - Rice and Riley have read the first two chapters of 'Fatherhood' by Bill Cosby. They are looking for any clue. The Club X boot fair is dying down. It appears to be mainly plants anyway.

11.34 - Special Agent Cookie is stuck in a high speed car. He attempts to open the doors but they have childlock. He leans forward and pleads with the driver. Special Agent Ken Lewsey turns around and tells him to be quiet. He assures him that everything is under control.

11.37 - Special Agent Oakes returns to the ground, confused. John Howland signals to Special Agent Andy Lewsey, and Oakes is discretely led away to the shed by the nets. He tries to resist and protest but Andy Lewsey overpowers him, and pushes him to the floor.

11.41 - Rice and Riley have a breakthrough. On p83 of 'Fatherhood' by Bill Cosby they find a handwritten note in the margin. It appears to be an address. They write it down and immediately phone Special Agent Crumbie.

11.43 - Cookie is pleading with Special Agent Ken Lewsey. Reminding him of all the great times they had together. All those wickets they shared, and great partnerships. All those Christmas Bazaars and Jumble Sales. Lewsey stops the car and explains to Cookie that he is trying to help him. If he hadn't taken him when he did, Cookie would have been in serious trouble. Cookie asks Lewsey if he knows who killed the mole at the ground. They carry on driving.

11.45 - Crumbie heads off to the address.

11.46 - Special Agent Riley is now up to p.96 of 'Fatherhood' by Bill Cosby. He comments on what an easy read it is. He is enjoyoing it, but Rice believes there is nothing else they can gain from the book at the moment.

11.47 - John Howland walks into the shed by the nets, with Special Agent Andy Lewsey by his side. He asks Oakes what is going on. Why is his wife at Club X? What happened when he went to Cookie's? Did he order a car to pick up Cookie?

11.48 - Oakes asks for immunity, but all he gets is another bacon butty. He explains that he contacted his wife while he was locked in the dressing room, and asked her to go to Club X for him to try and establish what was going on. He thought Club X would be less likely to suspect her and he didn't know who else he could trust. Howland nods and asks Lewsey to leave the room, before they continue their discussion.

11.52 - Ken Lewsey reaches a small empty building, he leads Cookie inside and tells him he will be safe here. Is Lewsey risking his own life to protect Cookie or is he merely leading him to his bosses? Cookie looks around. It feels like a disused Pavilion.

11.56 - Crumbie reaches the address he has been given. It is dark and deserted, but he can hear voices. Suddenly he feels nervous. What if Rice and Riley are dirty?

11.58 - Oakes and Howland walk out together. Howland explains that it was all a misunderstanding and phones Crumbie to let him know that Oakes is no longer a threat.

11.59 - Crumbie's phone rings. He tries to turn it off, but he has been spotted. Two men run off. As one goes he drops a flyer on the floor. It is advertising Club X's Boot Fair. Who are these men? Do they have Psycho? and Did they move the wheelbarrow? Special Agent Crumbie knows all the questions, but he is short of answers.

Next time... Is Special Agent Lewsey telling the truth? Is Cookie safe? Will Special Agent Crumbie agree to throw the big KVL match? Will Special Ponce Gamlyn pitch the ball up?
