Name: Shaun Howland AKA: Mr. T, Robbie, Matt Parrett (thanks Tom!), Barrel jnr, The General. Age: 18 Bat: Right-Handed, very slowly. Best: 64 vs Elham 2002 Bowl: errr.. no thanks. Sponsored by: pukka pies Year joined club: about 1994 (yes i was about 9!) Favourite film: Gotta be between,: 'Leon', 'Pulp Fiction' or 'The Usuall Suspects'. Favourite book: Any of the Sharpe Novels or anything writen by the fabulous Jo Rice! Favourite Opponent/ Ground: Any team with players worse than us (not many then!). Best ground, Bishopsbourne. Favourite Tea: My own personal home-made chocolate fudge brownies! Most memorable match: My highest knock for Saltwood against Elham in 2002. Funniest moment for the Wood: Playing a text book strsight drive back at the bowler. It hit his leg and trickled towards the stumps so i thought i'd take a cheeky single. To my horrer that ball had sufficient velocity to knock the bails off and i was consequently run out One thing you would change to improve the Wood: A bowling machine so that I can be more like Ian's bunny - Sam Ireland. Wood player you most admire and why: Mark Gamlyn - He slod his bat to me and it's done much more for me than it ever did for him - Thanks Mark Professional cricketer you are most like: I've been told i have a batting style similar to Rob Key, but with my rapid innings i'm more like Geoff Boycott or Michael Atherton! Three words to describe yourself: Whisky-lover, Catching-machine, Lazy.
